👣 DeepFeet 1 Basics | Denton, TX📅 January 29 - 31, 2027 | 25 NCBTMB CE Hours | $795
The foundational concepts of utilizing your feet as effective massage tools
Prerequisite: Licensed Massage Therapist
DeepFeet 1 Basics is our introductory course to Ashiatsu DeepFeet Bar Therapy®, designed to give massage therapists a comprehensive foundation in barefoot massage and the confidence to begin incorporating Ashiatsu into their practice.
This three-day, hands-on course provides extensive “feet-on” practice time and covers prone, supine, seated, and standing Ashiatsu techniques. Our methodology takes a Western therapeutic approach, incorporating familiar massage techniques including effleurage, petrissage, cross-fiber friction, compression, trigger point work, and myofascial techniques.
Throughout the course, special emphasis is placed on proper body mechanics, barefoot application, client positioning, contraindications and safety, bar construction, and developing the skills necessary to work confidently and effectively with your feet.
By the end of the course, therapists will have the foundational knowledge and practical skills needed to perform up to a 90-minute full-body Ashiatsu treatment.
Come ready to learn, practice, get comfortable on the bars, and discover what makes barefoot massage such a powerful addition to a massage therapy practice!
