Optimize ROM & mobility in this dynamic fusion of Thai & Ashiatsu utilizing DeepFeet’s overhead bars
Prerequisite: Licensed Massage Therapist, LAc
Ashi-Thai™ is an expression of traditional Thai stretches adapted for the DeepFeet overhead bar system. By utilizing the bars and the therapist’s body weight, these techniques allow the therapist to perform Thai-inspired stretches without heavy lifting or excessive bending at the waist.
This flowing, rhythmic approach to Thai massage was developed for Ashiatsu therapists who want to expand their barefoot skill set and incorporate more stretching and movement into their sessions. Ashi-Thai™ can be seamlessly integrated into a traditional Ashiatsu treatment or offered as a stand-alone bodywork session.
In this workshop, you’ll learn both posterior and anterior techniques, including assisted stretches and therapeutic movements designed to elongate and relieve tension in commonly used muscle groups. The sequence is organized around traditional Thai energy lines and stretching concepts while utilizing the unique positioning and mechanics of the DeepFeet bar system.
Clients often experience greater range of motion, reduced muscular tension, and an overall sense of balance and well-being. By the end of the course, you’ll have a unique set of barefoot techniques that can expand the way you work and give you new options for incorporating stretching and movement into your massage practice.
