ASHE Colorado I-70 Floyd Hill Project Tour
Join ASHE Colorado for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of the $900+ million I-70 Floyd Hill Project and get an up-close look at active construction along one of Colorado’s most complex mountain corridors.
The Floyd Hill Project includes major improvements along I-70, including roadway widening, bridge reconstruction, new structures and flyovers, and significant mountainside excavation. Attendees will have the opportunity to see construction progress firsthand while learning about the engineering and coordination required to deliver a project of this scale in a challenging mountain environment.
CDOT representatives and Project Engineers involved in the design will be joining the tour to provide firsthand perspectives on the project’s design, engineering challenges, construction considerations, and lessons learned. This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow transportation professionals while hearing directly from those involved in bringing the project from design into construction.
Tour Details
- Space is limited to 20 participants, so register early.
- Current ASHE members will receive registration priority. Not a member yet? Now is a great time to join ASHE!
- PPE is required! It can be provided by the Floyd Hill Project, although attendees are welcome to bring their own.
- Carpooling is encouraged. Additional meeting and carpool details will be provided to registered attendees.
- Please plan to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for an active construction site.
If registration fills, a waitlist will be maintained, and an additional tour may be considered if there is sufficient interest.
