About this Event
The Ashcourt Sustainability & Supply Lunch brings together sustainability, technology and commercial insight to explore how the aggregates industry can reduce environmental impact while continuing to meet the demands of modern construction.
Chantal Van Der Toorn, Sustainability Manager at Ashcourt Group, will provide an overview of the Group’s sustainability journey, highlighting the initiatives, investments and operational changes being made across the business to reduce carbon emissions, recover more materials and create a more circular approach to construction resources.
Thomas Doyle from CDE will then explore the role of wash plant technology within the aggregates industry, explaining how the process works, the benefits it can deliver and how previously unusable material can be processed into high-quality, specification-ready aggregates.
There will be multiple breaks including a lunch which will be Steak Pie and Mashed Potatoes. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, please let us know in advance by emailing [email protected].
Mike Bibby will conclude with a commercial perspective, looking at the practical uses for washed and recycled aggregates on construction sites, the opportunities they create for contractors and developers, and how the industry can overcome some of the misconceptions and stigma that still surround recycled materials.
The session will provide a practical look at how sustainability, material recovery and commercial viability can work together to support a more resource-efficient future for the construction industry.
