We are pleased to announce that Komal Kumar (Assistant Airport Director) of John Wayne Airport will be joining us to provide an overview of their Capital Improvement Program and how it will drive future growth at the one of the country's more unique airports.
The timeline for our luncheon will be as follows:

Speaker Bio
Ms. Komal Kumar has served as Assistant Airport Director at John Wayne Airport (JWA) since November 2022, overseeing key divisions such as Airport Operations, Public Affairs, Finance, Innovation and Technology, Quality and Compliance, Planning, and Environmental.
In 2024, she collaborated with Orange County Public Works to develop a $711M Capital Improvement Plan for JWA, securing the necessary funding. Prior to her current role, Ms. Kumar was Finance Director, where she managed financial functions, developed a 5-year strategic financial plan, and led the defeasance of $60.8 million in bonds. She also increased the airport's cash reserves to nearly 1,000 days of cash on hand.
Ms. Kumar has been with JWA since 2016 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from UC Riverside. The Orange County Business Journal recently named her "Women in Finance 2024" and the Greater Irvine Chamber awarded her the "40 Under 40" award.
