Through a blend of art, discussion, hands-on activities, and peer connection, participants will explore emotions, learn regulation strategies, build self-advocacy skills, and create personalized tools to support their well-being. Each week focuses on a different emotional regulation topic and includes a corresponding art project that encourages creativity, self-expression, and skill development in a supportive and engaging environment.Throughout the program, participants will:
- Explore and identify emotions
- Learn to recognize body signals connected to emotions
- Build a toolbox of coping and regulation strategies that work for them
- Practice self-advocacy and requesting support
- Connect with peers in a safe and encouraging environment
- Express themselves through meaningful creative art projects
Date: Thursdays from November 12 to Decemeber 10
Time: 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Who Can Join: Open to children aged 13-17 with autism or a developmental disability
