What is Artspace?
‘Artspace' provides an opportunity for people to come together and enjoy being creative...
Poetry, song writing, story telling, photography, printmaking, textile techniques (sewing, appliqué, felting, weaving, collage to name but a few)....and of course the more obvious forms of self expression by drawing, painting and mark making using a wide range of materials and media.
The arts are for everyone....and Artspace is all inclusive. Its not about ability...Leonard Cohen once said ‘there are cracks in everything...and that's how the light gets in'. You don’t need to be perfect... you just need to be yourself.
Artspace provides a safe space where you can make new friends and become part of a compassionate community as you develop your own self esteem...and of course improve your practical skills.
All you have to do is turn up with your own materials and equipment...there are no costs, free hot drinks...and a great time to be had by all.
Meetings will take place in the Workshop at the Artery from 10.00am to 1.00pm on the following dates : May 2nd, June 6th, June 27th (no meeting in July), August 1st, Sepembert 5th, October 3rd, October 31st (for the November meeting and Nov 28th (as there is no meeting in December).
