THE ARTISTS CIRCLENew to The Quill & Quiver we now have our Artists Circle.
A welcoming space to create, learn and connect with other artists at The Quill & Quiver.
Hosted by local artist Alex Holt, each Artists’ Circle begins with an organised creative activity that everyone aged 14 years and over can take part in, regardless of experience or ability.
For our first session, we’ll be creating a collaborative still life. We’re asking everyone to bring one small object from home to add to the table, interesting, unusual, sentimental or completely ordinary! Together, these objects will create a unique still-life arrangement for the group to draw.
We’ll provide basic paper and pencils, so you can simply turn up and have a go, although artists are encouraged to bring their own sketchbooks and preferred materials if they have them.
For the second half of the session, we’ll move into Free Create. Bring along a current project, continue working on your still life, start something new, or simply enjoy having dedicated creative time in the company of other artists. Alex will be on hand throughout to offer optional guidance, advice and support if you’d like it.
