Join artist Leah Smith for an intimate, artist-led exploration of 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘢𝘴 𝘗𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦: 𝘛𝘩𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘞𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯 𝘕𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘢 at NCMA Winston-Salem Downtown. During this informal gallery tour, Smith will share insights into her work, materials, and creative process.Following the tour, put new insights into practice with a collaborative activity inspired by Smith’s approach to making. Working together on a large-scale drawing, participants can experiment with mark-making and negative space to build and transform an original composition. This hands-on experience offers an opportunity to look closely, ask questions, and see what happens when individual marks and ideas come together.
