ARTIST TALK | JON BLACK: STILL BUILDINGJoin us on Saturday, November 21 at 1 PM for an afternoon with Dieppe-based wood artist Jon Black!
For 20 years, Jon has been transforming wood into extraordinary creations, pushing the boundaries of design, scale, and materials. Many will recognize him from his 15 years at the Moncton Market, where his imaginative woodworking has earned him a loyal following.
His current exhibition, Still Building, celebrates two decades of creativity and experimentation, featuring everything from large-scale artworks made with reclaimed skateboard decks to collaborations with local painters and functional pieces that blur the lines between furniture and art.
During this artist talk, Jon will share stories from his creative journey, discuss his approach to working with wood, and offer insight into the ideas and processes behind his work.
Whether you're an artist, a woodworking enthusiast, or simply curious about how everyday materials can become something extraordinary, we'd love to have you join us!
