Perrion’s works will be on exhibit from Monday, August 10, to Saturday, October 3rd. Artist talk at the gallery with reception on Saturday, September 26, from 5-7 pm.
The ARC Collective welcomes Little Rock-based artist Perrion Hurd as our second Guest Artist for 2026. Perrion has exhibited his work throughout the South and was the 2020 Signature artist for the Mosaic Templar Center in Little Rock. Perrion’s prolific activity as a master printmaker, public mural artist, and teacher was recognized by the Arkansas Arts Council in 2022 when he was selected for the Governor’s Arts Award for Individual Artist. His work is collected nationally and internationally.
Perrion has described his distinctive visual language as “Afrofuturistic Geometric Symbolism.” He broke that label down in an interview with Philip Mayeux: “The Afro: Positive Black images. The Futuristic: drawing from my past influences and putting them into my present and future works. The Geometric Symbolism: think hieroglyphs, sacred geometry, the Vitruvian Man – it's all connected.” He notes that his work “celebrates the energy of music through bold color, strong graphic lines, and dynamic geometric forms.”
