Meet Hannah Saltz, Wesleyan Potters’ 2026 Artist in Residence, for a conversation about clay, movement, and the magic of paying attention.Inspired by her background in dance, mythology, and a childhood spent searching for wonder in the woods, Hannah creates sculptural and functional ceramics that explore the body, feminine strength, and transformation. From sculptures shaped by the gestures of dancers to rounded vessels that invite us to soften and curl inward, her work connects movement with making.
Join us for refreshments at 5:30 pm, followed by Hannah’s presentation at 6:00 pm. Our Gallery will be open throughout the evening... come browse and enjoy the creativity of our community!
Hear about Hannah’s creative process, ask questions, and connect with fellow artists, students, and members. Potters, metalsmiths, weavers, and the simply curious are all welcome!
