A DVSA Auction favourite, we’re delighted to have Christopher join us for this afternoon talk and share more about his painting work and process.
Christopher works in Guelph, Ontario, infusing the traditional art form of Impressionism with modern, abstracted, visual language. His paintings are more than representations of a landscape—they serve as artifacts, capturing the essence of the environments he explores. Born under the Gemini sign in 1976, the duality of life comes through in his work. He seeks to activate a place in the viewer where the location of a painting may be found internally. Gestural painting strokes—the foundation of his classical training at Sheridan College— keep the work breathing.
