Doprovodný program v rámci výstavy What Burns, Remains / Co shoří, to přetrvá:Artist talk Christl Mudrak, umělkyně a iniciátorky mezinárodního projektu Forest Research Platform (v angličtině). Po prezentaci bude následovat komentovaná prohlídka výstavy s vystavujícími Tomášem Hrůzou a Bronislavou Bakule Malou a kurátorkou Veronikou Čechovou.
Christl Mudrak je výtvarná umělkyně a iniciátorka mezioborových uměleckých a výzkumných projektů. Žije a pracuje v Berlíně a Braniborsku.
Její umělecká praxe zahrnuje rozšířenou malbu i site specific projekty, imerzivní, performativní a participativní formáty. Ve své tvorbě se zaměřuje na otázky vnímání, kolektivního autorství a vztahů mezi lidmi, zvířaty a rostlinami. V letech 2007 až 2014 Mudrak vyučovala rozšířenou malbu na Katedře architektury ETH v Curychu, na katedře umění a architektury. Vyučovala také na dalších evropských univerzitách a institucích, přičemž neustále rozvíjela svou uměleckou a teoretickou praxi v kontextu malby, architektury a ekologických témat.
Mudrak je iniciátorkou Forest Research Platform, dlouhodobého interdisciplinárního uměleckého a výzkumného projektu na pomezí umění, ekologie a sociální transformace v lese Krämerwald v Braniborsku. V současné době tam rozvíjí výzkumný projekt Ohne Gewalt (Nenásilí), financovaný nadací Stiftung Kunstfonds (2024–2026).
Od roku 2025 působí jako spolumluvčí představenstva Deutscher Künstlerbund. Je také dobrovolnou laickou soudkyní u soudu pro mladistvé při Krajském soudu v Berlíně.

Artist talk with Christl Mudrak, artist and initiator of the international Forest Research Platform project (in English). The presentation will be followed by a guided tour of the exhibition with the artists Tomáš Hrůza and Bronislava Bakule Malá, and the curator Veronika Čechová.
Christl Mudrak is a visual artist and initiator of interdisciplinary art and research projects. She lives and works in Berlin and Brandenburg.
Her artistic practice encompasses expanded painting as well as site-related, immersive, performative, and participatory formats. Her work focuses on questions of perception, collective authorship, and the relationships between humans, animals, and plants. From 2007 to 2014, Mudrak taught expanded painting in the Department of Architecture at ETH Zurich, at the Chair of Art and Architecture. She has also taught at various European universities and institutions, continuously developing her artistic and theoretical practice in the context of painting, architecture, and ecological concerns.
Mudrak is the initiator of the Forest Research Platform, a long-term interdisciplinary art and research project at the intersection of art, ecology, and social transformation in the Krämerwald forest in Brandenburg. She is currently developing the research project Ohne Gewalt (Nonviolence) there, funded by the Stiftung Kunstfonds (2024–2026).
Since 2025, she has served as Co-Spokesperson of the Board of the Deutscher Künstlerbund. She is also a volunteer lay judge in juvenile court at the Berlin Regional Court.
