Join us to celebrate our November Featured Artist JARED SINES's exhibit ""As Time Goes By"— a collection of recent and vintage works. Come meet the award-winning artist, discover his work, and mingle over light refreshments.
Jared has been painting since he was a child. At the age of eight, he began classes at the San Francisco Academy of Advertising Art (now the Academy of Art University), encouraged by his father, who was a talented artist himself.
It has been more than 60 years since Jared began showing his paintings at Shreve and Co. in San Francisco. Since then, there have been numerous venues for his work, including the New Masters Gallery in Carmel, and the Portola Art Gallery in Menlo Park. For many years, Jared taught oil painting and life drawing at the Pacific Art League in Palo Alto.
Jared continues to paint nearly every day, and he is attracted to a wide variety of subjects, from places close to home in the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as scenes from far away -- captured in photographs by his granddaughter Madeline, or remembered from family trips of the past.
