The evolution of artificial intelligence (Al) continues to accelerate, and the threats to humanity are becoming increasingly more defined. Some are now declaring that Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is here and is indistinguishable from every aspect of human intelligence. Dr. Roscoe will discuss AGI's effects on future job markets, military usage, social media, and even how Hollywood is being impacted. About the speaker: Dr. Dennis Roscoe holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Neurophysiology from the University of Arizona, School of Medicine. He has been an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, and an Adjunct Professor of Neurology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, College of Medicine. Dr. Roscoe has combined his engineering and medical background to design and develop medical devices and has been the founder and president of two medical device companies. For the last 12 years, he has also developed a passion for astrophotography and currently owns and operates his own personal observatory.
