AI in Manufacturing Engineering - Separating Hype from Reality
MxD CEO Berardino Baratta will talk about the barriers to incorporating AI into manufacturing engineering, including the gap between AI hype and shop floor reality. He will help answer questions like, "Where is there value in incorporating AI?" and "How do you take the messy reality of shop-floor data (sensor fragmentation, lack of standards, legacy PLCs) and turn it into model-ready data?"
Berardino will discuss why many AI initiatives are difficult to scale, including data readiness, integration with legacy equipment, worker buy-in and the skills gap. Manufacturing and Engineering leaders will get a better sense of how to chart the path forward in their manufacturing engineering operations.
