About this Event
This training course prepares attorneys and legal professionals to safely, ethically, and effectively integrate artificial intelligence into their legal practices. The course begins with a foundational overview of Large Language Models (LLMs), demystifying generative AI mechanics, data flows, and the root causes of model hallucinations. Next, the course explores the legal, regulatory, and ethical considerations surrounding AI adoption, focusing on ABA Formal Opinion 512, duty of competence, client confidentiality, and candor toward tribunals. Participants will then examine secure daily workflows, including document triage, draft generation, and argument stress-testing. The course concludes with a practical, self-directed blueprint for internal firm implementation, equipping practitioners to establish governance policies, select compliant tools, and manage firm-wide adoption without prohibitive overhead.
The course shall be a half-day event, held on Franciscan’s beautiful campus.
