About this Event
SESSION PURPOSE:
To bring together health systems, community-based organizations, public health departments, students, and other partners for a foundational conversation on artificial intelligence (AI) in community health.
This session will serve as a primer on AI as a practical tool that can support individuals, teams, and systems by improving efficiency, streamlining workflows, and enhancing decision-making—not replacing the workforce, but supporting it.
Participants will explore real-world use cases of AI in healthcare and community settings, while also examining the important considerations that come with its use, including data privacy, security, governance, and accountability. The discussion will also address common misconceptions about AI and its impact on jobs and the workforce.
Grounded in lessons from past technology adoption in healthcare, the session will focus on how to approach AI thoughtfully and responsibly, with attention to equity and community trust.
Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of what AI is (and is not), how it can be applied in practical ways, and key considerations for safely and effectively exploring its use in their own organizations.
Media Release Consent Forms will be available on-site for participants to sign as an additional option.
