About this Event
Artazan Handcraft Market returns to Pasadena November 14–15, bringing together artists, artisans, craftspeople and the community for a weekend celebrating creativity and work made by hand.
Inspired by the ideas behind the Arts & Crafts movement, the handcraft market celebrates creativity, thoughtful design, skilled work and the people behind the things we bring into our lives. That spirit is reflected in a contemporary and wide-ranging mix of handcraft, encompassing many different materials, traditions and creative approaches.
Held at the Pasadena Convention Center, the two-day market will be filled with work from independent artists and artisans across an eclectic mix of mediums. Visitors might discover jewelry and metalsmithing, ceramics and glass, crochet and fiber art, woodworking and handcrafted clocks, painting and mixed media, wearable art, leatherwork, home décor, artisan foods and much more. From time-honored skills to unexpected new ideas, the market reflects the remarkable variety of what people are creating by hand today.
The weekend will also connect with Pasadena’s broader creative community, bringing together local and regional artists, arts organizations, educators and visitors. Guests can talk directly with artists, learn about their materials and techniques, take part in hands-on workshops, watch demonstrations and enjoy live music throughout the weekend.
Taking place at the beginning of the holiday season, the November market offers an alternative to mass-produced holiday shopping, with distinctive gifts, original art, artisan foods and objects for the home, while directly supporting independent artists and small creative businesses.
More than a place to shop, Artazan offers an opportunity to see handcraft up close, discover something unexpected and experience the incredible range of things being made by hand today.
