Dive into a lively mix of art, activism, and expression that amps up your power and voice!About this Event
Art, Power & Your Voice is a civic engagement series from We Are Deep Roots designed to make public funding and policy conversations more accessible to Cleveland’s creative community.
Across three panel discussions, artists, community leaders, and civic voices will explore how local funding decisions affect arts, culture, creative work, and neighborhood investment.
The series includes:
- October 13 — Cigarette Tax + Arts Funding
A conversation about how cigarette tax revenue supports arts and cultural organizations in Cuyahoga County and what that funding model means for the creative community. - October 20 — Marijuana Tax + Cultural Funding Options
A discussion exploring marijuana tax revenue, public investment, and the possibilities and questions surrounding future support for arts and cultural initiatives. - October 27 — Public Funding for Culture + Art Projects
A broader conversation about how public dollars can support cultural programming, artists, creative spaces, and community-based projects.
Each event will create space for learning, questions, and open conversation about how public decisions connect to the creative communities they impact.
