Come get your hands muddy and explore the art of wheel throwing with local artist Tessa Mansour! In this two-hour, hands-on workshop, Tessa brings her lifelong love of ceramics and passion for teaching into the studio to guide you through the joy of creating with clay.
In this class, you'll learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, experiment with simple hand-building techniques. You'll throw as much clay as you like and select your favorite piece to be glazed and fired.
Tessa will handle the trimming and glazing process for you, and you’ll get to choose your glaze color. If you’d like additional pieces to be fired, that’s available for a small extra fee. Tessa will coordinate with you for pick up/shipping.
By the end of class, you’ll have made a unique, work of art to take pride in and enjoy at home! It'll be fully functional after it's fired and glazed. The firing and glazing process takes approximately 3-4 weeks. Pieces are available for pick up or shipping for an additional fee.
Price
$105.00 per student. The cost includes materials, firing, glazing, and one finished piece. There will be an additional charge if you wish your item(s) to be mailed.
