Hi everyone! This is Rina and the Ciao Kaohsiung volunteer group 💜We usually host cultural meetups, and this time, to welcome artist Elisabeth Wierzbicka “Wela" from France, we are co-hosting an international art meetup!
If you haven't heard, the very first Tainan Art Biennale is happening right now. Wela was invited by our friend at Aesthetics Tribes (美學聚落) and she is coming to Taiwan for the biennale. We kindly ask Wela to host an art meetup in Kaohsiung and would like to invite international friends to join us.
As part of an ongoing collective art project "Flowing Silk (流動絲路)" with Aesthetics Tribes (美學聚落), we are planning to make watercolor or color-pencil postcards. Water color (or color pencils) and papers will be provided. Just come and enjoy the afternoon. No prior experience needed.

Elisabeth Wela is a French-Polish artist and curator based in Normandy, France. Working with natural materials, painting, and mixed media, she explores the relationship between life, land, and people. As founder and artistic director of Wela Gallery, she also fosters artistic exchange and cross-cultural collaboration.

Aesthetic Tribes is a non-governmental organization which focus on matching and mind sharing. The organization aspires to create continuous growth and a symbiotic community by way of organizing, planning and operating under exact goals. Ultimately exporting Taiwan’s economically viable aesthetics supply chain and promoting Chinese aesthetics to gain a firm foothold on the global stage.
