About this Event
Welcome to Art is Resistance- a People's Gallery Project showcase that lets the art speak for itself. All visual arts presented in the gallery for the weekend of 5/3/-5/5 will be within the theme of social justice and advocacy through artistic mediums. Each artist has chosen a cause that they are passionate about. Visual arts will be presented alongside a written blurb about the chosen cause and a way to learn more and show support. This allows us to utilize creative expression as a method for spreading awareness, education, and tangible ways to show support. Our Saturday showcase is an opportunity to come together with community and show resistance through art, joy, and human connection. This is event is free! 100% of proceeds for art sales will go directly to the artists, and you may choose to donate to any organization mentioned by participating artists.
