Join us for a hands-on bookbinding workshop where you’ll learn to create a handmade book using the coptic book binding technique. Coptic binding, known for its elegant, open-spine design that lays flat when open — is ideal for journals, sketchbooks or herbarium specimens. This class is perfect for beginners and creatives looking to explore the art of bookmaking.
Throughout the workshop, you’ll learn the tools, techniques, and materials needed to craft your book and leave with a beautiful handmade book and the skills to continue binding on your own. This workshop is intended for adults or homeschooled high schoolers.
Tickets
Adult and teen tickets are $15 for members (with member discount code) and $30 for non-members which includes an all day pass to the gardens. This class is recommended for adults and older teens.
Cancellations: If you are unable to attend, please let us know 48 hours in advance of the class start time in order to receive a refund. Note that Eventbrite fees are non-refundable.
Weather Related Cancellations: We will assess the weather the morning of the workshop and send a notification to all attendees if extreme or severe weather is forecast.
