Returning for its second edition during Arizona Car Week 2027, Art House Collective, Presented by Phiaro at The Warehouse, brings together four distinct automotive art galleries under one roof for a five-day celebration of art, design, and motoring culture.
Following its inaugural exhibition, Art House Collective returns with a renewed vision—continuing to explore the intersection of artistic expression and the machines that inspire it.
Featuring the returning works of Dwight Knowlton, Lyn Hiner, David Townsend, and Bill Pack, the exhibition celebrates four unique perspectives on the automobile. From expressive fine art and illustration to bold interpretations of color, form, and photography, each artist captures something beyond the machine itself: the emotion, history, and human connection that make automotive culture so enduring.
The Featured Automobile: 1954 Mercedes-Benz W196 Stromlinienwagen
There are beautiful cars, important cars, and victorious cars. The Mercedes-Benz W196 Streamliner is all three.
With its impossibly low silhouette and sculptural, enclosed-wheel bodywork, the W196 transformed aerodynamic engineering into an art form. Every curve served a purpose. Every detail was shaped by the pursuit of speed.
For Art House Collective, the W196 represents something exceedingly rare: championship-winning engineering that transcends function and ascends to the level of art.
At the heart of the 2027 exhibition, each of the four artists will present their own interpretation of this extraordinary machine, revealing how a single automobile can inspire entirely different expressions of creativity.
The exhibition will also feature new and previously unseen works, with select pieces available for purchase and opportunities to connect with the artists throughout the week.
Art House Collective is more than an exhibition. It is a meeting place for artists, collectors, enthusiasts, and those who believe the automobile deserves to be celebrated as more than a means of transportation.
