About this Event

Art Gallery Opening Night - Walking Dreams Art Exhibition

Date & Time: November 13, 2026 at 5:00 PM (Central Standard Time)

Venue: Quimera Gallery ATX

Join us at Barrio Pop Studio for the opening of Waking Dream, a group exhibition of Texas artists exploring memory, identity, and home.

Curated by Carlos Moreno and Niru Kumar, the show brings together painting, cyanotype, ceramics, fiber, and printmaking, alongside multisensory and immersive installations. Drawing on neuroaesthetics, the science of how the brain responds to art, and on the writings of Carl Jung and Eckhart Tolle, the exhibition takes waking dreams as its starting point. Through material inquiry and conceptual experimentation, each artist works in the space between lived experience and the dreamlike, using unexpected materials, shifted proportions, and familiar symbols to turn everyday objects into meditations on memory and belonging. Together, the works show how contemporary art can challenge assumptions, build connection, and imagine new possibilities.

Come spend the evening with the work, meet the artists, and join the conversation. Original artworks will be available for purchase.
