Abundance, a group exhibition featuring eight women artist.
About this Event
Art For The People Gallery invites the public to celebrate the opening of
Abundance, a group exhibition featuring eight women artists working across ceramics, drawing,
painting, papermaking, and collage. The exhibition debuts during the Austin Studio Tour on
Saturday, November 14 from 11 AM to 5 PM. Refreshments and snacks will be provided
courtesy of Topo Chico, Siete, and FLRT energy drinks.
Abundance explores the richness of the natural world and organic experiences through themes
of connection, vulnerability, and growth. Featuring expressive faces and places, beloved
creatures, and lush motifs, the exhibition brings together varied artistic practices. United through
the symbolism of flesh, food, and flowers these works celebrate the many ways these women
bring life to their individual mediums.
The exhibition offers an expansive interpretation of abundance, not simply as material plenty,
but as the wealth within our relationships - to ourselves, our nourishment, and the spaces we
gather.
Exhibiting Artists: Claire Bresette, Chelseascreename, Linda Chido, Christa Diepenbrock, Clara
Hart, Susan Raine, Charlotte Schembri, Juliet Whitsett
Abundance will remain on view at Art For The People Gallery at Springdale General through
