Run on Sentence is the debut solo exhibition of artist Aaliyah M. Clark. Created as the only birthday gift she wanted, this exhibition marks the beginning of a long-held vision: sharing her work with the public for the first time. Like its title, Run on Sentence is built from many ideas that converge into one central narrative. Through contemporary oil paintings, Clark explores Black humanity, identity, vulnerability, memory, and expression. Each piece stands on its own, yet together they form a larger conversation, one that refuses to fit neatly into a single story. Guests are invited to experience an evening of art, music, and community while engaging with works that celebrate quiet moments, bold emotions, and the complexity of everyday Black life. This is more than an exhibition; it is the opening chapter of an artist’s journey and an invitation to witness the beginning.
