Art as Resistance 🇵🇸 Event 2 of 5: Documentary Film Screening📍 Where: Free Bird Cafe, Chiang Mai
📅 When: Friday, 6 November
⏰ Time: Films start at 7:00 PM, so join us earlier to hang out, get some delicious drinks or food from Free Bird!
🎟️ Entry: Free entry, but donations are encouraged as these events are to support our dear artists from Gaza!
Our month of solidarity continues! Throughout November—leading up to the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People (Nov 29th)—Chiang Mai for Palestine is co-hosting 5 special events to raise funds for 5 artists from Gaza.
For our second event, join us at Free Bird Cafe for an evening of truth-telling through film. We are screening three powerful documentaries gifted to our movement by anti-Zionist Israeli activist Neta Golan:
🎬 Featured Screenings: • Khalil, Please Answer… (69 mins) – Directed by Alexia Tsouni & Haim Schwarczenberg
• Returning to Zarnouqa (13 mins) – By Anemoia Projects
• When You Were Young Were You Afraid of the Moon? (2025, 22 mins) – Directed by Phoebe Cottam
How you can support:
In the spirit of mutual aid, donation boxes will be set up around Free Bird, along with prints, art, stickers, and merchandise for sale. Every single baht raised goes directly toward supporting our 5 Gaza artists and their work.
Come pull up a chair, learn, connect, and stand in community with us.
Yalla, see you there habaybi! 🍉✨
