About this Event
In this immersive workshop, Maurice will guide participants through the process of creating an herbal bath for spiritual and emotional well-being using spiritual bathing techniques rooted in Afro-Atlantic Diasporic traditions. This workshop is a guided sensory experience. Participants will be invited to touch, smell, and explore botanical matter while learning how this same herbal matter has traditionally been used to support emotional and spiritual health.
Participants will also be invited to reflect on the ways they currently care for themselves and consider how herbal baths and spiritual bathing practices might enhance the state of their self-care practices. This workshop offers an opportunity to explore how herbs can help sustain us through life's challenges with greater courage and passion by referencing Afro-Atlantic Diasporic Herbalism Traditions as a blueprint.
