Bath Drama presents...'ART'
by Yasmina Reza
Directed by Lauren Arena-McCann
Assisted by Connor Palmer
'Art' by Yasmina Reza is an award-winning, fast-paced and witty one-act dark comedy about friendship, loyalty, and personal values. The story follows three long-time friends: Serge, Marc, and Yvan. Tensions arise when Serge buys an expensive modern painting that Marc strongly dislikes. As the two argue over the artwork and what it represents, Yvan struggles to keep the peace. What begins as a disagreement about art soon exposes deeper frustrations, insecurities, and differences within their friendship.
Through sharp humour and insightful dialogue, ‘Art’ explores how strong friendships can be tested when people change or challenge long-held assumptions about one another.
