Around the World in 2026 is a year-long virtual mileage challenge where participants log miles toward a shared global goal — the 24,901 miles it takes to circle the Earth.
Count all running and/or walking miles between January 1 and December 31, 2026. Simply log as many miles as you can. Whether you’re walking a few miles a week or running every day, every mile matters.
Together, we’ll journey around the world — one step at a time.
Log your running and walking miles throughout the year and move through different milestones as you log more and more miles.
Here are the milestones you can achieve:
🌱 Explorer — 250 Miles
🧭 Adventurer — 500 Miles
🏃♀️ Voyager — 1,000 Miles
🌍 Global Legend — 2026+ Miles
This event is free to sign up and start logging your miles. At the end of the year you will have an option to purchase a custom medal that will include your name and the total number of miles you logged in 2026!
What is a Virtual Race?
A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. Running and walking on your own, or with friends! And your medal will be shipped directly to you. Complete a virtual 5Ks, 10K, half marathon and more!
Each race benefits a difference charity
For each of our virtual races, we choose a charity to donate a portion of each registration to. We’ve already raised more than $1,00,000 for charities from our many different virtual races! Our goal is to continue to help different charities around the world.
