On Armistice Day, Wednesday 11 November at 10.50am, military veterans and children from local schools will come together at the Fields of Honour in the Old Cemetery and at the Cenotaph in Christchurch Park for services of remembrance for those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The sounding of maroons will mark the start and end of a two-minute silence at 11am.
