Please note: Your event ticket covers drinks and entry only. To support Snow Club, make a separate donation using the link above — every contribution helps put more kids on snow.
Come for the drinks, stay for the impact. Your evening at metrobar helps DC youth access skiing and snowboarding through City Kids’ Snow Club — with transportation, gear, lessons, and lift tickets fully covered.
Snow Club is one of City Kids’ most loved and highest-attended programs, giving 74 participants four weekends on the mountain each winter. Along the way, they build confidence, try something completely new, and gain exposure to careers in outdoor and winter sports — all at no cost to participants.
Recent funding cuts have created a critical gap, and we need your help to keep the program running for seasons to come.
Grab a drink and help keep the slopes open to more kids!
About City Kids Wilderness Project
City Kids Wilderness Project is a DC-based nonprofit that guides students in grades 6–12 through a seven-year journey of outdoor adventure, mentorship, and personal growth. For more than 28 years, the organization has served youth—primarily from Wards 5, 7, and 8—creating a trusted community where young people build resilience, confidence, and life skills through hands-on experiences in nature.
Throughout the year, participants paddle the Potomac, bike the C&O Canal, climb indoor and outdoor walls, and kayak along the East Coast, before traveling to their “home away from home” in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for summer camp adventures like horseback riding and backpacking in the Tetons. Alongside outdoor programming, City Kids also provides career exploration, job readiness, and leadership development—helping students grow into confident, capable young adults.
