A unique opportunity to learn Dr. Wang Ju-Yi's Applied Channel Theory
Dr. Wang Ju-Yi’s Applied Channel Theory provides a framework based in classical Chinese medicine theories to help practitioners better understand the physiological mechanisms that are contributing to their patients’ health concerns. This approach gives practitioners practical skills that help us decipher patient symptoms and guide us towards clear diagnoses and treatments. This two-day course will introduce students and practitioners to the foundations of channel physiology in the six levels and channel palpation techniques through interactive lectures and hands-on practice. It’s a great opportunity to learn a new diagnostic tool that you can bring back to your practice and help refine your treatment strategies.
Course Objectives:
- Introduce classical channel theory and physiology of the 6 levels
- Introduce Dr. Wang Ju-Yi's channel palpation techniques
- How to interpret channel changes and what they tell us about pathophysiology
- How to use channel information to form clear diagnoses
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Nyssa Tang is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist with a Masters degree from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York in 2004. Prior to her acupuncture career, Nyssa earned her BA in sculpture from Oberlin College in 1995.
Nyssa first met Dr. Wang Ju Yi in 2003 and upon graduating, she moved to Beijing, China and apprenticed for a year and a half in his clinic. She continued her studies with annual trips to Dr. Wang’s clinic and helped facilitate and translate for visiting students. She has been in private practice in New York City since 2006, utilizing Applied Channel Theory to treat a wide variety of conditions. She continues to teach Dr. Wang’s techniques in post-graduate courses, both domestically and abroad.
