The Apostolic Gathering 2026: Brace for Impact invites us to journey through Acts 27–28 and consider what happens when life's storms disrupt what we expected, take what we thought we needed, and leave us standing in places we never planned to be.

Our theme, Brace for Impact, brings the journey of Paul, the centurion, the sailors, and those aboard the ship into the realities of our lives today. There are moments when lifeboats must be cut away, cargo must be thrown overboard, and survival means making it to shore on broken pieces. Yet the story does not end with the shipwreck.

What was meant to destroy you positioned you to make an impact.

Throughout the Gathering, we will explore faith, leadership, discernment, recovery, loss, difficult decisions, and the unexpected opportunities that can emerge from the places we never intended to land. Through our Impact Sessions, worship, prayer, prophetic ministry, conversation, and fellowship, participants will have opportunities to reflect honestly on their experiences while engaging the biblical text in practical, meaningful ways.

Our desire is not simply for you to attend another gathering. We want you to leave seeing your experiences differently.

What if the question is no longer only, “Why did this happen to me?” but also, “How can God use this situation to make an impact on someone else?”

How can you express your faith in a way that honors Jesus while you are still in the midst of your storm?

What might God be developing in you through the decisions, losses, disruptions, and unfamiliar places you have encountered?

Acts 27 ends with broken pieces and an unexpected shore. Acts 28 reveals that there was still ministry, purpose, healing, and impact waiting on the other side.

Come prepared to engage the Word, participate in honest conversation, worship, reflect, and consider what God may be doing—not only after the storm passes, but while you are still navigating it.

Because the storm and shipwreck may have changed how or where you arrived, but it did not cancel the assignment.

Through the leadership of Paul, Julius the centurion, the shipmaster, and the shipowner in Acts 27, we will examine different ways people use authority, respond to counsel, make decisions, and adjust under pressure. Whether you are a parent, a company president, a ministry leader, an entrepreneur, or somewhere in between, this introductory session is designed to help you recognize your leadership style, consider what pressure reveals about it, and identify where you may need greater discernment, flexibility, courage, and accountability. You don't need a title to lead, but you should understand how your leadership affects the people traveling with you.

Who gets access to your decision-making? Acts 27 shows us what can happen when warning, expertise, authority, popular opinion, fear, and personal preference compete to determine what happens next. We face that same tension today. Social media, news, influencers, AI, organizational pressure, family expectations, prophetic voices, emotions, and experience can all shape what we hear and how we respond. In this interactive session, Apostle Lawana Chaplin will help participants examine which voices carry weight in their lives and why. Together, we will consider how Scripture, the Holy Spirit, wise counsel, experience, and responsible judgment work together when we must make decisions. The goal is not suspicion, but mature discernment: learning to slow down, test what we hear, and respond faithfully.

Not everything you carry is bad, but not everything or everyone is meant to stay with you. In Acts 27:18–19, cargo that was seen as a commodity or once seemed useful became a dangerous weight when conditions changed. Hebrews 12:1 also calls us to “lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us.” Some things are sinful; others may hinder our ability to move forward faithfully. This guided, interactive Lab will give you room to examine the roles, plans, expectations, relationships, strategies, past victories, and unfinished responsibilities you may still be carrying. Through prayerful reflection, discussion, and practical exercises, you will consider what still serves the assignment, what costs more than it contributes, and what to retain, delegate, complete, or release. The goal is honest stewardship, a meaningful decision, and a faithful next step.
