Join APA for day two of our annual effort to gather as many leaves as possible in Astoria Park to be used for compost in parks citywide! Leaf Fest is always one of our most popular volunteer events of the year. Kid and family friendly, too (jumping in piles of leaves before they get removed is highly encouraged).
Dress warmly and meet behind the field house (on the tennis court side) before 10am. APA team leaders will distribute work gloves, rakes, bags, and tarps before we head out to designated work sites.
***We want to support Astoria Food Pantry at this time of year! Volunteers and park-goers are encouraged to bring shelf-stable food items to the park which APA will gather and bring to the Pantry.****
