About this Event
Antisemitism: Understanding and Countering This Hatred Today is a full-day professional learning program for educators who want to build their knowledge of antisemitism and feel more confident addressing it in the classroom.
We will explore pedagogical principles for teaching complex and sensitive topics, learn how Jewish life was rebuilt after the Holocaust, and examine the myths and conspiracy thinking that have fueled antisemitism over time. The day also looks at Holocaust denial and distortion, and at how antisemitism shows up today. Teachers will be introduced to classroom-ready resources from Echoes & Reflections and leave with practical strategies for helping students recognize and counter hate.
