About this Event
Experience a Vibrant Meeting of Generations: The Goni-Perretta Duo Live!
Calling all music lovers and guitar enthusiasts! Get ready for an extraordinary, boundary-breaking concert experience with the Goni-Perretta Duo (Antigoni Goni & Eleonora Perretta). This isn't just a dual recital; it's a breathtaking artistic dialogue where two distinct generations, cultures, and voices merge to unlock the absolute maximum orchestral potential of the classical guitar.
A Harmonious Symbiosis of Master & Protégé
What began as an inspiring teacher-student relationship at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels has blossomed into one of the most dynamic classical guitar partnerships on the modern stage. Merging the immense global pedigree of Greek maestro Antigoni Goni—a historic Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) champion and former Juilliard faculty founder—with the fiery, brilliant virtuosity of rising Italian star Eleonora Perretta, this duo brings an electric, empathetic chemistry to the stage that is entirely spellbinding.
A Journey Through "Music Gardens of the World"
What truly sets this duo apart is their out-of-the-box creativity and vivid narrative power. Driven by an intense curiosity, they seamlessly transform two guitars into a rich, multi-colored orchestra. Their acclaimed collaboration with legendary composer Dušan Bogdanović on Music Gardens of the World perfectly captures their adventurous spirit. From 15th-century French chansons and lively Irish fiddle jigs to complex Balkan rhythms and soulful South American waltzes, their genre-transcending repertoire bridges cultures and eras with stunning fluidity.
