ANTHROPOLOGY BEYOND THE CLASSROOM: A CREATIVE DISPLAY BY STUDENTSWhat if anthropology could be explored not only through books, lectures, and fieldwork, but also through photography, filmmaking, crafts, art, and storytelling?
The Anthropology Program at BRAC University presents Anthropology Beyond the Classroom, a two-day academic and creative event exploring how creative practices can become ways of observing, documenting, interpreting, and representing the social and cultural worlds around us.
The event will feature an alumni photographic exhibition - Surviving Death Row and Public Talk, alongside a curated showcase of creative works by BRAC University students. Open to students from all departments, the showcase invites participants to connect their creative practices with anthropological perspectives on everyday life, culture, identity, memory, labour, politics, and the environment.
Explore the three submission categories:
- The Ethnographic Gaze
