You are cordially invited to participate in our annual Yizkor Service in memory of the Jews killed in Latvia. The service will be followed by an onsite luncheon.Date: Sunday, November 22, 2026
Time: 11am - 2pm (note: check in is at 10:30am and the service will begin promptly at 11am, followed by the luncheon)
Location: Park East Synagogue (164 East 68th Street, New York, New York)
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Karen Frostig (Founding Director of the public memorials "Locker of Memory" in Latvia and "The Vienna Project" in Austria)
Fireside Chat: Alan Shindelman (social media host who captures the stories of American Jews and Rabbis, with a mission of carrying history to the next generation)
Guest Rabbi: Benjamin Birkeland (Stanton Street Shul, NYC)
A $36 annual membership fee per person is appreciated in advance of the event, but can also be paid upon arrival (checks preferable). This helps to offset the luncheon fees (venue rental, food and beverage, etc). Children under 18 are welcome to attend for free.
We also greatly appreciate additional donations to cover the year-round work we do as an all-volunteer staff. Those expenses include website maintenance, hosting free screenings for the community, mailings, translating and publishing books by Latvian Holocaust survivors, and more.
All money paid to the Jewish Survivors of Latvia is 100% tax-deductible.
