Annual Lantern WalkThursday, November 12th - 5:15pm
Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site
Meet at the Gazebo
As autumn gives way to winter, Mountain Song families are invited to gather for our annual Lantern Walk. This cherished Waldorf tradition celebrates kindness, community, and the light we carry within.
Rooted in the spirit of Martinmas, the Lantern Walk reminds us that even the smallest light can bring warmth to the darkness. Through the gentle glow of lanterns, we honor the changing seasons and the importance of sharing our light with others.
Everyone is welcome! Families, staff, siblings, alumni, and members of our greater community are invited to join us for this special evening.
Bring a light: Carry a handmade lantern or flashlight to illuminate the path.
Share in the warmth: Enjoy cookies and cider together before our walk.
Gather for a story: Listen to a Lantern Walk story to set the reverent and quiet tone.
Raise your voice: Sing along with the lantern songs as we walk around the park.
A Gentle Reminder: As our evening comes to a close, we ask everyone to depart quietly, slowly, and with reverence.
Practice the songs and read the story in our latest Songbird newsletter: www.MountainSongSchool.org
