Dear QNRG Members,I would like to propose holding the Queensland Nepalese Runners Group (QNRG) Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, 5 December 2026, at 7:00 pm.
As I am quite busy throughout November, I believe this would be a suitable opportunity for us to come together, discuss important matters and plan for the future of QNRG.
Proposed AGM Agenda:
1. Appointment of the New Executive Committee (2026–2028) – Discuss and appoint committee members for the next term.
2. QNRG Inaugural Event (January 2027) – Discuss plans for our inaugural event. We intend to invite all registered Nepalese running clubs across Queensland to come together, connect, exchange ideas and discuss future running events and collaborative activities.
3. ONSM 2027 – Expressions of Interest (EOI) and Selection – Invite interested runners, develop a list of potential participants, discuss selection arrangements and explore funding and sponsorship opportunities.
4. QNRG Annual Calendar 2027 – Plan running events, activities, collaborations and other initiatives for the year ahead.
5. Any Other Business.
Yesterday, Ramesh ji and I had a very fruitful discussion about the future of QNRG and the opportunities ahead.
It is particularly encouraging to see our group growing, with members now representing the North Side, South Side (including myself), and the Gold Coast region. This gives us a wonderful opportunity to build a stronger and more connected Nepalese running community across Queensland.
Our proposed inaugural gathering in January 2027 will also provide an excellent opportunity for aspiring runners, particularly those interested in representing Queensland at ONSM 2027, to connect with other runners and explore opportunities to participate.
I strongly encourage everyone to attend the AGM, share their ideas and contribute towards shaping the future of QNRG. Your participation and support will be important as we move into the next chapter of our organisation.
