🐉✨ Meet Ping Zhu!
We’re pleased to welcome celebrated illustrator Ping Zhu for a special presentation of her latest work, Animals of the Chinese Zodiac: Meet Your Match!, in conversation with Cari Vander Yacht.
Written by award-winning author Teresa Ho Robeson and illustrated by celebrated artist Ping Zhu, this vibrant 64-page guide introduces one of the world’s most beloved ancient traditions to a new generation of curious young readers.
Ping Zhu’s bold, colorful, and expressive hand-painted illustrations bring all twelve zodiac animals to life — from the resourceful Rat and powerful Dragon to the patient Ox and free-spirited Horse. Each animal comes with personality traits, lucky numbers, best friendships, dream careers, and fascinating facts.
A fold-out retelling of The Great Race reveals how the twelve animals earned their place in the Zodiac, with each moment unfolding across beautifully illustrated spreads — from Rat’s crafty river crossing to Pig’s muddy last-minute arrival.
And there’s a playful twist: a flowchart quiz invites readers to discover which zodiac animal truly matches their personality. 🐀🐉🐯🐴
