Join Animal Rights Rochester and fellow local advocates for a screening of The Animal People, followed by a discussion about strengthening the animal rights movement in our community. The Animal People tells the story of six activists prosecuted for their involvement in the Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty (SHAC) campaign, an international movement against animal experimentation.
Following the film, we'll explore lessons from SHAC and how they can inform our ongoing campaign to free the animals at Marshall BioResources. We'll also discuss other local animal rights efforts, opportunities for collaboration, and ways to support one another in taking action for animals.
Whether you're an experienced activist or looking to get involved, all are welcome!
