Set 1
With concentrated attention, Angharad Davies‘ violin and Werner Dafeldecker‘s double bass meet as open sound bodies. Between pure tuning and microtonal beats, between controlled setting and spontaneous development, a music of subtle differences emerges. Reduction becomes intensification: minimal shifts, fragile tensions, precisely placed impulses. On the threshold between composition and improvisation, a dialogue unfolds that does not assert structure, but allows it to emerge through shared listening.

Set 2
Voice, historical string instruments, and experimental practice enter into a multi-layered exchange in the new trio of Isabelle Duthoit, Pascale Berthelot, and Atsushi Sakai. Plucked, bowed, and blown sounds move between archaic roughness and delicate transparency. Baroque sound concepts open up to contemporary forms of expression; memory and the present interpenetrate. The result is music that does not emphasize boundaries but shifts them—powerful and fragile at the same time, sensual and unexpected.
