Most of our growing work is done in our wildlife habitats in Hyde Park, but Saturday, November 14, at 1:00 p.m., we will meet in front of the Lakeside Nature Center, 4701 E. Gregory Boulevard, Kansas City, MO, 64132.With permission from the Kansas City Missouri Parks and Recreation Department, we will collect seeds from native plants growing in their Tallgrass Prairie restoration area. This event is for participants 14+ and is limited in size to prevent damaging the area.
No experience necessary. We will provide a brief background of our goals and good seed-collecting practices, as well as paper bags and sharpies for labeling.
