5k and 10k routes. Post-run refreshments.Welcome to Zion!Zion Baptist Church was founded in 1866 by formerly enslaved African Americans in Marietta, Georgia. From humble beginnings worshiping under a brush arbor, Zion grew into a lasting center of faith, fellowship, and community service. In 2026, Zion celebrates 160 years of worship, leadership, and service to others. Its historic church building, now the Old Zion Heritage Museum, preserves that legacy for future generations. We’re proud to welcome the community to Zion—a church “where everybody is somebody and Christ is Lord.
