About this Event
TIRED
Strong men break too… but healing starts here.
Liam just lost his job, and he hasn't told anyone how heavy that is. He's sleeping on the couch, hiding behind jokes, and watching his wife carry the bills while he quietly falls apart. Then old temptations and his past come knocking, and the one voice he can't argue with is his late grandmother's.
Written and directed by Tiffany LaMeia, TIRED is a dramatic, familiar and deeply honest stage play about the weight Black men carry in silence, and what it takes to finally put it down. After a powerful premiere in Huntsville, Alabama this June, TIRED comes home to Chicagoland for one night only, one week after World Mental Health Day.
Bring your father, your husband, your brother, your son, or yourself. This is the conversation so many of our families need to have.
Starring Jehova "Hov" Gray as Liam
